This time designer Silje Nes recieved accolade for three different book designs: Kjartan Slettemark, Eventyrboka and Greetings from the Fjords.

Skald Wins First Prize!

(07.04.09) Skald publishing won 1st prize in Grafill's (Norwegian Organization for visual communication) most beautiful books of the year award. The award was presented to illustrator Stina Langlo Ørdal and designer Silje Nes for «Ordleiksboka» (the word-play-book) by Olaf Husby and Sylfest Lomheim.

(24.03.09) Skald Ltd had an 18 % increase in income from 2007 ensuring a surplus of 350 000 Nkr before tax deduction. In addition to the positive financial situation, Skald has received a number of appraisals: 2nd prize for the book «Sogndal» in Norwegian board of graphic design's (Grafill) annual «Most Beautiful Book of the Year» competition, the New-Norwegian Organization's prize for Best Children's Book for «The Good night book» and the «Gourmand world cookbook awards 2008» for «Mrs Ingrid of Røisheim».

(17.12.08) Spirits ran high at the office as the Gourmand award winner for Norway was announced: "Mrs Ingrid of Røisheim" has won the national prize for best cook book in the "Female chef" category. The classy, textile-bound book is also competing in the run for "Gourmand Awards: The Best in the World". The world champion will be announced on wednesday July 1 during the annual international "Gala Dinner".
