Gourmand Cook Book Award

Spirits ran high at the office as the Gourmand award winner for Norway was announced: "Mrs Ingrid of Røisheim" has won the national prize for best cook book in the "Female chef" category. The classy, textile-bound book is also competing in the run for "Gourmand Awards: The Best in the World". The world champion will be announced on wednesday July 1 during the annual international "Gala Dinner".

The company has more than ever put money and effort into design this year, to create attractive books with an overall high-quality impression. These efforts have paid off, as Skald has already won two awards previously this year. The Norwegian Organization for Visual Communication annually gives out awards for well-designed books, of which Skald won one for the local photography book about "Sogndal - portrait of a small town". Another gem of a book, "Good night stories" won the award for best children's book from The Language Organisation of Norway.
