Skald Wins First Prize!
Most beautiful books of the year award 2009
Skald publishing won 1st prize in Grafill's (Norwegian Organization for visual communication) most beautiful books of the year award. The award was presented to illustrator Stina Langlo Ørdal and designer Silje Nes for «Ordleiksboka» (the word-play-book) by Olaf Husby and Sylfest Lomheim.
According to the jury «Ordleiksboka» is «a beautiful book that manages to seemlessly combine illustration and design. We hope this book will be enjoyed and read by many children. It is very educative but also incredibly ambitious and fulfilling».
