New titles in popular tourist book series
Into the fjords, Bergen and Hardanger
Skald has been builiding up a series of travel books, which are translated into English mainly, but also a few editions in German and Spanish, as well as Chinese, Japanese and Russian. These books are meant as an interesting and informative introduction to their respective destination, more so than the average picture postcard books one normally find in souvenir shops – a tourist coffee table book!
Bergen is the main city in Western Norway and serves as the gate to the fjords. People arrive from all over the world via train, bus, plane and boat and after exploring what Bergen itself has to offer, and usually go on to places like Sognefjorden, Hardangerfjorden, the famous «Norway in a nutshell» trip to Flåm and perhaps visiting UNESCO heritage target Nærøyfjorden.
