Björn Klauer

With only a backpack on his shoulders, Björn Klauer (50) left Hamburg 25 years ago, heading for Norway. During his twelve-month hike from Oslo towards Kirkenes, he fell under the spell of the fascination and beauty of this country.

After 3,500 kilometres – accompanied during the winter months by Keito, his Husky from Greenland, he decided to emigrate to Norway.
He settled north of the Arctic Circle in the tiny
mountain town of Innset, where he lives with his wife and 50 sled-dogs on their remote Husky farm. For twenty years he has been running quality dog-sled tours and expeditions.
